Sheriff Rasmussen is acutely aware of the proposals from Washington D.C. that may infringe on citizens rights under the 2nd Amendment. He is preparing a letter to our representatives in Congress expressing his concerns and the concerns of the citizens of Union County :

CREDIT & DEBIT CARDS

We are once again able to accept credit or debit cards for payment of bail, fingerprinting, civil process and concealed weapons permits.

No Credit or Debit Cards Accepted

Because of on going problems with our credit/debit card machines we will not be able to take payments via credit/debit cards for the foreseeable future. We are working to resolve the issues and find another vendor as quickly as we can.

Jail Visitation Hours

Effective February 1 visiting  days and hours in the jail will be changing. Visiting days will be Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.  Visiting hours will be in the afternoons only, no more evening visitation.  Appointments will still be taken from 9-1 Monday-Friday excluding holidays but you will no longer be able to schedule appointments for the future, just on the day you want to visit.

Boat Registration

You can now get your boat registration at the Sheriff’s Office. We have gotten the materials from the Marine Board and are ready to go. Hours for registration are Monday-Friday from 8-5.

Livescan is here

Our new digital fingerprint machine is here and installed. We’re really excited about it; no more dirty, inky fingers and there will be a lot less rejects because prints are unreadable. Fingerprint times remain the same; Tuesday 8 a.m.-11a.m., Thursday noon-4:45 p.m. and Friday8a.m.-4:45 p.m. except between 11 and noon.

Fillable PDF Forms

All of the forms on our web site are now fill-able PDFs. Most forms you can fill them out on line, save them and e-mail them to us. Some, like gun permits and job applications, you can fill out on line but then will need to print them out to sign them.
