An inmates’ bail can be paid in person with cash at the jail’s visitation lobby. There is also a kiosk in the visitation lobby that can accept credit or debit cards for bail. Bail can also be paid via credit card through the internet at www.GovPayNow.com (PLC Code 7855). or by phone at 888-604-7888. For either of these methods you will also need to check the Current Inmate Roster to get the inmate’s file number. Checks are not accepted for bail without prior approval from the Sheriff or Jail Manager.
Once bail has been paid it is sent to the courts for processing. When the court case is concluded the courts will return the bail money, minus administrative fees and any fines and fees levied by the courts, to the person who actually paid the bail. They cannot return the money to anyone but the person who paid for it.
