Programs For Kids

Reaching out to the youth of our county is very important to the Union County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies participate in safety fairs and bike rodeos throughout the year and are visible at many activities throughout the county involving children.

We have an active DARE Program that can be found in almost all the schools throughout the county.

There is also a program to help parents who suspect their children may be using drugs or alcohol. The Parent Aid Testing Program provides test kits to parents who want to test their children for illegal drug use.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office has taught the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program for twelve years, in five county schools. More than 1200 fifth and sixth grade students have benefited from this program.
